ABOUT ME
I didn't want go go into the design field back in high school - I actually was more of a programmer who wanted to create video games. But, as most people do in college, I began to explore different options aside from programming That didn't mean that I wanted to move on from programming completely - I still use it for game projects in my spare time, after all. But after seeing what I could make with other tools, I decided that designing things, rather than programming them, was the path for me.

During my two years at the University of Washington Bothell, I learned the hard way as to what it took to be a designer. My cohort and I had just come out of the pandemic-enforced lockdown, as our classes were slowly rolling back to in-person learning. I wasn't used to working in teams at first, something I would quickly grow used to in every IMD-focused class. I also wasn't used to using platforms such as Figma, or even Adobe products like Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc. But all of that and more I learned during my Interactive Media Design degree at UWB, and now I hope to take my experiences to help others via technology.
A big hobby of mine includes making video game music - specifically remixes of retro video games and mashing them all up together!

I started my YouTube channel back in October of 2022, but my enjoyment of this hobby goes back to high school, when I was only using a basic, web-based music editor called Soundation Studio. It was a Chrome-based tool, so it was rather limited for a lot of people, and didn't have many features compared to the tool I use now, which is FL Studio.
My favorite video games to focus on with this hobby include Sonic the Hedgehog (specifically the Genesis-era games), Final Fantasy VII (1997), Pokemon (GBA series), and more recently, the retro Kirby games. I also have been dabbling a lot in making fan-made remixes for songs for Friday Night Funkin' (FNF), which is a rhythm game on the computer.
Education
2019-2023
Bachelor's Degree in Interactive Media Design

University of Washington Bothell
This degree focused on creating web-based apps and website prototypes, while also teaching us the necessary skills of becoming designers: making storyboards, researching if necessary, and more. I learned most of my skills from my classes taken in this major, and honed my existing ones as well.
